PHYTO

This project deals with the reconversion of brownfield sites in the port of Le Havre.

You are going to discover an abstract of a work in connection with a partnership between Ecole Boulle and Le Havre’s urban planning agency. The project is located in the city of Le Havre, in the industrial harbour area, on a neglected widely polluted ground. One of its aims is to remediate polluted soils through « phytoremediation », a natural and alternative process for soil decontamination and revitalization.

This process is at the center of an « educational and urban public space » featuring the implementation and potential use of recent phytotechnologies. Essays about the research for this project are available in french and in english at the end of this page.

I am very grateful for having the opportunity to work with Le Havre urban agency and with the teamwork of the Master in Space Design “living territories” of École Boulle. Also, a big thanks to Carla Martinez Rivera for her precious help at the production phase, you can discover her work here.
